Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent Anderson is seeking a patient-focused Nursing Assistant to join our Float team across multiple units. This full-time night shift provides 6:00pm–6:30am, three shifts per week with every third weekend and every other holiday rotation.

You’ll assist with patient movement, daily living activities, document changes to nursing staff, and help maintain clean rooms and functioning equipment. Minimum requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent and BLS provider

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience.
• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire date is required.

Responsibilities

• Aids with movement and placement of patients.
• Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
• Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Documents necessary records.
• Keeps patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintains medical equipment.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
