Job summary

Virtua Health in Mount Holly, NJ, seeks a Summer PCT - RN BSN Students to support the care team under RN/LPN supervision. This part-time, per diem role focuses on daily living activities and collaborates with the nursing staff to ensure high-quality care.

You will assist with vital signs, basic nursing duties, and documentation while upholding safety standards and professional conduct. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, completion of a PCT/CNA course, and BLS; phlebotomy training

Qualifications

• Demonstrates required knowledge of basic patient care skills, procedures and standards.
• Must have strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports the activities of daily living to include bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, feeding, toileting/hygiene, and assisting with mobility and transport.
• Demonstrates standard precautions including the care of patients in isolation and safe patient practice.
• Performed by RN/LPN: vital signs, point of care testing, bladder scanning, and Foley catheter care; may perform phlebotomy/EKGs if certified.
• Reinforces education of patient and family regarding individual care needs and safety issues.
• Participates in Virtua patient satisfaction initiatives and goals.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
• Assists in orientation of new hires.
