UPMC is seeking a Part-time Patient Care Technician to join the team. The role covers Evening shifts (3-11) and Days (7-3) on an alternating weekend/holiday schedule, totaling 40 hours in a pay period (24 hours one week, 16 hours the next).

Responsibilities include direct patient care, assisting with procedures, ADLs, and coordination with the RN. The incumbent will perform core nursing assistant tasks and contribute to safe, quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualificações

• Provides patient care including assisting with patient procedures and activities of daily living.
• Assists with physical, respiratory and cardiopulmonary therapies as needed.
• Monitors and reports changes in patient status to RN.
• Performs core nursing assistant responsibilities (blood glucose, weights, vital signs, I&O, specimen collections, Foley care).

Responsabilidades

• Provides patient care including assisting with patient procedures and activities of daily living.
• Performs nursing assistant tasks: blood glucose checks, weights, vital signs, I&O, specimen collection, Foley care.
• Supports nurse in patient care and procedures, communicates changes in patient status.
• Maintains accurate documentation in the medical record and assists with department clerical tasks.
• Assists with patient safety, safety policies, and coordination with health care team.
