UPMC is seeking a Patient Care Technician/Nursing Assistant to support patient care, assist with procedures, and perform core nursing assistant tasks including monitoring vital signs, blood glucose, I&O, and specimen collections. The role involves communication with RNs, other hospital staff, and families, while complying with safety protocols.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, EKG, dressing changes, Foley care/removal, bladder scans, and IV-related tasks as needed.

Formación

• Provides patient care including assisting with procedures and activities of daily living.
• Performs core nursing assistant tasks and additional duties as identified in the unit.
• Maintains effective communication with the health care team and reports changes in patient status.
• Adheres to safety and patient care policies and procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Assists with patient procedures and activities of daily living.
• Performs core nursing assistant tasks (blood glucose, weights, vital signs, I&O, specimen collections, Foley care) and additional skills when needed.
• Reports equipment malfunctions and communicates with other departments.
• Maintains professional relationships and supports department quality initiatives.
