Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Day Shift, full-time Float Pool Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our team. You will assist patients with daily activities, monitor comfort, and support nursing staff to provide high‑quality care.

Responsibilities include recording vital signs, collecting specimens, transporting patients, and helping with ROM and mobility. CNA/PCT certification preferred; BLS within 14 days of hire is required.

Qualifications

• Cross-trained to cover more than one hospital service.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, eating and other ADLs under supervision.
• Observe and report patient progress to RN or medical staff.
• Obtain and record vital signs and collect specimens for lab tests.
• Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
• Measure intake/output and assist with range of motion; assist in blood draws.

Responsibilities

• Works under moderate supervision of nursing and medical staff to perform all duties of a PCT, which include assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
• Observes patients’ progress to prepare and disseminate reports to Registered Nurse or other medical staff.
• Obtains and records patients' vital signs and collects specimens for lab tests.
• Provides basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
• Measures and records patients' intake and output and other measurements in accordance with unit routines, assists patients with range of motion, and draws blood.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Competent to perform in at least two general areas of practice (cross trained and cross competent to cover more than one hospital service, role, or function).

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Completion of approved CNA, PCT or paramedic certification or currently enrolled in nursing school.
• Minimum of two years of experience in acute or long-term care.
• Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy.
