Hillcrest HealthCare System in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Day-Shift PRN Float Pool Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support nursing staff and assist patients with daily activities. The role is based at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa and offers PRN, float-pool opportunities on a day shift.

You will observe patient progress, document vital signs, assist with ADLs, transport patients, and perform light housekeeping while supporting a cross-trained team.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Competent to perform in at least two general areas of practice (cross-trained and cross-competent to cover more than one hospital service, role, or function).

Responsabilidades

• Assist patients with daily activities (bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs).
• Observe patients’ progress and report to RN or medical staff.
• Obtain and record vital signs and collect specimens for lab tests.
• Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
• Measure intake/output and assist with ROM; draw blood.

Learn About a Day in the Life of a PCT:

• Works under moderate supervision of nursing and medical staff to perform all duties of a PCT, which include assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
• Observes patients’ progress to prepare and disseminate reports to Registered Nurse or other medical staff.
• Obtains and records patients' vital signs and collects specimens for lab tests.
• Provides basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
• Measures and records patients' intake and output and other measurements in accordance with unit routines, assists patients with range of motion, and draws blood.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Competent to perform in at least two general areas of practice (cross-trained and cross-competent to cover more than one hospital service, role, or function).

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Completion of approved CNA, PCT, or paramedic certification or currently enrolled in nursing school.
• Minimum of two years of experience in acute or long-term care.
• Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy.
