Job summary

Ardent Health Services is seeking a day shift, part-time Cardiology Specialty Patient Care Technician to join the Tulsa, OK team. You will assist patients with daily activities, monitor vital signs, and support nursing staff under moderate supervision.

Responsibilities include obtaining specimens for lab tests, providing basic transport, and recording intake/output while helping with range of motion and ADLs. Prior CNA/PCT experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role.
• Preferred CNA, PCT or paramedic certification or enrollment in nursing school.
• Minimum of two years of experience in acute or long-term care preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with daily activities (bathing, dressing, eating, ADLs) under supervision.
• Observes patients and prepares reports for RN or medical staff.
• Records vital signs and collects specimens for lab tests.
• Provides basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
• Measures and records intake/output and assists with range of motion.

Responsibilities

• Works under moderate supervision of nursing and medical staff to perform all duties of a PCT, which include assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
• Observes patients’ progress to prepare and disseminate reports to Registered Nurse or other medical staff.
• Obtains and records patients' vital signs and collects specimens for lab tests.
• Provides basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
• Additionally, this position measures and records patients' intake and output and other measurements in accordance with unit routines and assists patients with range of motion.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Requirements:

• Completion of approved CNA, PCT or paramedic certification or currently enrolled in nursing school preferred.
