Job summary

Virtua Health in South Jersey seeks a part-time Patient Care Technician to support the nursing team in delivering daily care and plan of care under RN/LPN supervision. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patients, and communicate changes to the healthcare team.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, completion of a PCT/fundamentals nursing course or CNA program, or equivalent experience, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates required knowledge of basic patient care skills, procedures and standards.
• Must have strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, mobility).
• Documents vital signs, tests, and patient status as directed by RN/LPN.
• Communicates with patients, family, and healthcare team to support plan of care.
• Participates in orientation of new hires.
• Supports patient safety and standard precautions.
