Job summary

Virtua Health in Marlton, NJ seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to assist with daily living activities under RN/LPN supervision. This part-time night shift role supports the care team and patient comfort in a high-quality health system.

Responsibilities include vital signs, basic patient care, documentation, and collaboration with nurses; phlebotomy and EKG may be required. BLS certification preferred; strong communication and compassionate care are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CNA/PCT coursework or certification preferred.
• BLS certification required; phlebotomy/EKG training may be needed for certain shifts.
• Experience in direct patient care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, hygiene, mobility).
• Take vital signs, basic nursing duties, and document care appropriately.
• May perform phlebotomy and EKGs if certified.
• Communicate changes in patient status to RN/LPN and assist with plan of care.
• Support patient/family education and participate in quality initiatives.
• Assist with orientation of new hires and shifts.
