Job summary

Lowell General Hospital is seeking a Nursing Support professional to provide patient-focused care under RN direction. You will perform ADLs, prepare rooms, and assist with procedures in a fast-paced ICU environment at the Main Campus in Lowell, MA.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and compassionate care, with training in basic nursing support tasks, phlebotomy and EKG where applicable, and opportunities to grow within Tufts Medicine.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Preferred CNA certification or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs activities of daily living (ADLs) for patients under RN supervision.
• Prepares patient rooms for admission and maintains a clean, safe environment.
• Transports patients to procedures and discharges as directed.
• Assists with meals and feeding as needed.
• Monitors and reports vital signs and any changes to nursing staff.
• Assists with basic medical tasks and uses glucometer and basic equipment.
