Job summary

Lowell General Hospital, part of Tufts Medicine, seeks a Nursing Support role providing basic patient care under physician orders. Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a nurse, performs ADLs and patient care to ensure safety.
• Prepares patient rooms for admission and maintains a clean, safe environment.
• Prioritizes patient care according to nursing direction and discharge plan.
• Transports patients to procedures and discharge and operates equipment safely.
• Collects, records and reports accurate patient data in a timely manner.
• Performs duties of a Patient Sitter to monitor patients as needed.
• Greets visitors and answers phone professionally; directs to the appropriate person.
• Screens access to department and enforces security policies.
• Completes admission, transfer, and discharge paperwork in a timely manner.
