Lowell General Hospital, part of Tufts Medicine, is seeking a Patient Care Tech (D3) for 24 hours weekly. Under nursing supervision, you will perform clinical, administrative, and support duties to provide basic patient care and assist with procedures.

You will monitor vital signs, assist with ADLs, maintain patient comfort, and support the care team. CNA and BLS are required, with EKG/Phlebotomy training preferred for certain units.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent.
• Successful completion of EKG and Phlebotomy courses (Critical Care and ED).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• One year of health care or nursing experience.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with examinations, procedures, tests, and treatments per training.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, maintaining privacy and safety.
• Provide hygienic care, change linens, assist with meals, and respond to call lights.
• Apply wound care and dressings; monitor skin integrity.
• Assist Ostomy patients with pouching and skin care.
• Prep and apply hot/cold therapies and sitz baths.
• Assist with medical office tasks: scheduling, phones, and communications.
• Transport patients and support discharge procedures; act as Safety Sitter when needed.
• Report changes in patient conditions promptly to RN/LPN.
• Maintain EMR accuracy and manage lab specimens for transport.
