Lowell General Hospital, part of Tufts Medicine, seeks a Nurse’s Aide/Certified Nursing Assistant to provide professional and supportive nursing care under physician orders. The role includes ADLs assistance, patient safety, and basic clinical tasks in the ICU setting. The position requires a high school diploma, BLS, and at least one year in healthcare.

CNA preferred. Night shifts, weekend rotation, and holiday coverage are part of the schedule.

Formación

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification required.
• One year of health care or nursing services experience.
• CNA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Three years experience in health care or nursing services preferred.
• Successful completion of courses in EKG and Phlebotomy preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Performs activities of daily living (ADLs) with patient safety in mind.
• Prepares patient room for admission and discharges.
• Maintains a clean and safe patient environment.
• Prioritizes care per nursing direction and discharge plan.
• Transports patients to procedures and discharge as directed.
• Operates and cleans equipment safely.
• Assists with meals or feeds patients as needed.
• Demonstrates use of glucometer, lift devices, and specimen collection.
• Notifies nurse of changes in patient condition.
• Act as Safety Sitter when required.
