Job summary

Edward Elmhurst Health's Highland Park Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician for Medical Surgical Telemetry on the Day shift (7:00 am–7:30 pm) with rotating weekends. This Full Time role supports RN/LPN to provide safe, compassionate patient care.

Duties include ADLs, vital signs, monitoring intake/outtake, ambulation, skin care and preparing rooms. You will assist with procedures under supervision and respond to call bells.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited CNA training program.
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork.
• Ability to prioritize and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs and patient care tasks.
• Answer call lights, document vital signs and care provided.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and use of Safe Patient Handling equipment.
• Support RN/LPN with admissions, discharges and room setup.
