Job summary

Edward Elmhurst Health seeks a Patient Care Technician for the Cardiac Post Procedural Telemetry unit at Glenbrook Hospital. The role is full-time, night shift with rotating weekends, 36 hours weekly, reporting to RN/LPN supervision.

You will assist with ADLs, vital signs, and patient safety while following hospital protocols and safety guidelines. Ideal candidates have CNA training or clinical rotation experience and a current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited CNA training preferred.
• Completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation preferred.
• BLS certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN/LPN with ADLs, vital signs, and patient comfort.
• Perform hourly rounding and respond to call lights.
• Assist with safe patient transfers and ambulation.
• Document care activities and notify nursing staff as needed.
• Support department tasks: restocking, cleaning, supplies.
