Job summary

Edward Elmhurst Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit at Highland Park Hospital. This part-time night shift (7pm–7:30am) includes rotating weekends and 24 hours per week, with a focus on safe, compassionate patient care and teamwork.

Requirements include IL licensure, NLN-accredited nursing education, and BLS/CPR certification; BSN strongly preferred. Experience in nursing or CNA roles is valued to support collaboration and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL is required.
• NLN accredited school of nursing is required; BSN strongly preferred.
• BLS/CPR Certification for the Healthcare Provider required.
• Prior nursing experience or CNA experience preferred for new graduates.

Responsibilities

• Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for patients on a Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit.
• Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care.
• Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary care.
• Communicate and collaborate with health care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
• Contribute to safety outcomes and promote high-quality patient experience.
