Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA is hiring a Full-Time Patient Care Technician for the Med/Surg unit, 7A-7P. The role involves direct patient care, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with daily activities under RN supervision.

Qualifications include a HS Diploma or equivalent, BLS within 90 days, and a CNA/NCMA/NCPCT or related credential as acceptable options. One year of healthcare experience is preferred.

Formación

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire is required.
• CNA/NCMA/NCPCT or equivalent credential is acceptable per Sentara guidelines.

Responsabilidades

• Provide patient care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Monitor vital signs, mobility, and patient safety under RN supervision.
• Perform phlebotomy, point of care testing, and basic specimen collection.
• Assist with EKG testing, peripheral IV removal, and Foley catheter management as directed.
• Document observations accurately and report changes to nursing staff promptly.

Educación
