Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA is hiring a full-time Patient Care Technician for the Medicine Unit. Responsibilities include patient care, vital signs, phlebotomy, EKG testing, specimen collection, and Foley catheter management under RN supervision.

Requires HS Diploma or equivalent, BLS within 90 days of hire, and applicable certifications. One year of healthcare experience is preferred; competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Formación

• HS Diploma or Equivalent required.
• BLS within 90 days of hire required.
• Eligible certifications include CNA, NCMA, NCPCT, EMR/EMS/EMT/AEMT, Navy Hospital Corps School, RN/LPN/RT/PT clinical student experience or recent nursing assistant work.

Responsabilidades

• Provide patient care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Monitor and document vital signs and patient condition.
• Assist with mobility, ambulation, and safety.
• Perform phlebotomy, point-of-care testing and EKGs.
• Collect specimens and manage Foley catheter insertion/removal as applicable.
