Job summary

Ascension Health in Racine, WI is hiring a Nurse Aide (Day shift, Full-time) to join the Med Surg department at All Saints Hospital.

You will document patient care journeys, support daily living activities, communicate changes to the nursing staff, and keep the patient care environment safe and organized.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Nurse Aide credentialed from the state of Wisconsin required; CNA in Nurse Aide Registry with eligibility to work in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Document patient care journeys and essential observations accurately.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living to maintain comfort and dignity.
• Communicate crucial changes in a patient's status to the nursing staff for timely intervention.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized patient care environment with ready-to-use medical equipment.

• Document patient care journeys and essential observations accurately, ensuring high-quality and complete medical records for the care team.

• Support patients with essential personal care and activities of daily living to maintain their comfort and promote a sense of dignity.

• Communicate any crucial changes in a patient's physical, mental, or emotional status to the nursing staff, enabling immediate and timely clinical intervention.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized patient care environment, including room tidiness and ensuring medical equipment is ready to support efficient care delivery.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Nurse Aide credentialed from the state of Wisconsin obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Certified Nursing Assistant credentialed from the state of Wisconsin, and in Nurse Aide Registry with eligibility to work in a hospital setting obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Additional certs may be required by specific job locations.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
