Job summary

UMass Memorial Health seeks a Patient Care Technician III to join the Emergency Department team. You will support licensed clinicians, perform vital signs, EKGs, andPOC testing, and assist with patient mobility in a high-demand U.S. hospital environment.

Qualifications include high school diploma, BLS, and experience at PCT II level or EMT/acute care. The role emphasizes teamwork, patient safety, and compassionate care across shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school education or GED.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Demonstrated competency at PCT II level or 1 year of acute care/hospital or EMT Paramedic experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the supervision of licensed clinicians.
• Assist in maintaining a safe patient environment and de-escalation as needed.
• Assist with daily living activities and mobility of patients.
• Perform vital signs, EKGs, POC testing, and specimen collection per hospital standards.
