Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Santa Fe, NM seeks a Medical Assistant to warmly greet patients, obtain demographics and insurance details, and schedule appointments. Qualifications

• Graduates of accredited nursing assistant, EMT, or medical assistant programs.
• BLS through American Heart Association and CMA certification required.
• Minimum one year of in-patient or medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients on the phone and in person and assist with check-in/out.
• Register and interview patients to collect demographic and financial information; schedule appointments.
• Conduct vital signs and basic testing; document results and maintain quality control.
• Access Epic and other practice management systems to schedule patients and retrieve records as needed.
• Assist nurses and providers in patient care and support clinic operations.
