Job summary

Qualifications

• Higher-level education not required beyond GED/HS; healthcare program enrollment desirable.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience in customer service or healthcare is preferred.
• Must obtain Medical Assistant Certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with front desk activities professionally.
• Register patients by collecting and verifying demographic, insurance, and financial information.
• Schedule appointments, tests, and referrals per clinic protocols.
• Coordinate and communicate patient messages to providers for timely follow-up.
• Document interactions, test results, and care activities in the EMR.
• Assist nurses, providers, and care team in delivering patient care.
• Obtain and record vital signs per clinical guidelines.
• Collect patient history related to chief complaint for provider evaluation.
• Perform point-of-care testing under supervision and per protocol.
• Ensure proper quality control and documentation for all POC testing.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical and administrative environment.
