Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required, or two years of relevant work experience above the minimum qualification.
Enrollment in or recent completion of a healthcare-related program (e.g., Medical Assistant, Nursing Assistant, EMT).
Basic familiarity with clinical workflows and patient care environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet patients in person and over the phone professionally and courteously.
Register patients by collecting and verifying demographic, insurance, and financial information.
Schedule appointments, tests, and referrals according to clinic protocols.
Coordinate and relay patient messages to ensure timely follow-up with providers.
Document patient interactions and test results in the EMR accurately.
Assist nurses, providers, and care team in delivering patient care in the clinic.
Obtain and record vital signs per clinical guidelines and procedures.
Collect patient history related to chief complaint to aid provider evaluation.
Support quality control and compliance for point-of-care testing.
