Job summary

Allegheny Health Network in Erie, PA seeks a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under RN supervision in a stable-condition unit. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, document care, and help maintain patient comfort and safety.

This part-time role offers a 24-hour-per-week rotational schedule with two 12-hour shifts, including day, evening, overnight, and weekend coverage. Compliance with HIPAA and ongoing trainings are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides and documents direct patient care including ADLs, vital signs, ambulation, specimen collection, and intake/output.
• Transports patients and their medical record; documents oxygen, mobilization protocols, and related treatments.
• Participates in quality and patient satisfaction initiatives; promotes safety and maintains a clean environment.
• Accurately documents changes in patient conditions and reports to nursing staff.
• Assists with unit activities such as supply stocking and equipment cleaning.
