Job summary

Allegheny Health Network in Natrona Heights, PA is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under RN supervision and assist with unit coordination for stable patients.

You will perform basic nursing tasks, maintain patient dignity, document care in the EMR, and participate in admissions, discharges, and transfers as part of a busy inpatient team. Training provided and essential safety policies followed.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• Limited or no experience: Must be able to attend 2 weeks of training.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Basic computer skills.
• Preferred Acute care experience within last 3 years.
• Currently enrolled in ASN or BSN program; preference for those with at least one clinical rotation.

Responsibilities

• Document vital signs, weights, I&O, and treatments.
• Assist with activities of daily living and early mobilization.
• Transport patients and their medical records; monitor oxygen documentation.
