Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN seeks a compassionate nurse aide to join our Emergency Room team on a rotating, PRN schedule. You will obtain and record vital signs, document patient data, monitor intake and output, perform blood draws as trained, and provide direct patient care including assistance with daily living activities.

Required BLS within 30 days of hire; Nurse Aide preferred. High school diploma or equivalent or 1 year of relevant experience is needed.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date required. AHA or ARC accepted.
• Nurse Aide preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and records vital signs, charts patient data, reports abnormal findings.
• Monitors and documents fluid intake and output to support safe patient care.
• Performs blood draws as trained, following phlebotomy techniques and safety protocols.
• Provides direct patient care, including rounding with patients and assisting with activities of daily living.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Nurse Aide preferred.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
