Ascension Saint Thomas in Nashville, TN is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician to support treatment, care, and evaluation of patients on scene and during transport. You will arrive at emergencies, quicky assess the situation, and develop a plan of action with the on-site team.

Responsibilities include using medical equipment, monitoring patient condition, collecting data, and communicating findings to the primary Registered Nurse (RN). The role is full-time in the Event Medicine department.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 1 month of hire or transfer date; AHA or ARC accepted.
• Driver's license valid in Tennessee required prior to hire date or transfer date.
• EMT credential required (EMT-EMS) or EMT-B; relevant certification must be current.

What Minimum Requirements You'll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Drivers License credentialed from the Tennessee Bureau of Motor Vehicles obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the Tennessee Emergency Medical Services Division obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Or Emergency Medical Tech-Basic (EMT-B) required.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
