Qualifications

• Successfully completed first semester in an accredited nursing program.
• Successfully completed a medical assistant or patient care technician program.
• A Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician or Patient Care Technician certification may be substituted for the educational requirement.

Responsibilities

• Implements identified plan through coordination of care with interdisciplinary care team.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary care team to achieve expected outcomes.
• Communicates pertinent data in a timely manner to the nurse and care team.
• Promotes infection prevention through standard precautions and proper hygiene practices.
• Assists with activities of daily living and accurate measurement of vitals.
