Job summary

Qualifications

• Completed first semester in an accredited nursing program.
• Completed a medical assistant or patient care technician program.
• A substitute certification (e.g., CMA, CMA, CNA, EMT) may meet education requirements.
• First Responder certification due within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Admit patients to exam rooms and assist providers with examinations and procedures.
• Retrieve voicemails, document medical information in electronic records, and route to licensed staff.
• Coordinate patient services including labs, imaging, and scheduling.
• Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, and benefit investigations.
• Perform phlebotomy and point-of-care testing as indicated.
• Maintain cleanliness of rooms and restock supplies.
• Attend staff meetings and mandatory departmental retreats as required.
