Stormont Vail Health in Topeka, KS is seeking a part-time Patient Care Technician for a 12-hour night shift (24 hours per week). As a member of the care delivery team you will assist Registered Nurses, provide delegated direct patient care, monitor patients, document findings and help maintain a safe, patient-centered environment.

Qualified candidates should have completed the first semester of an accredited nursing program or a medical assistant/PCT program, with BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed first semester in an accredited nursing program or completed a medical assistant or patient care technician program.
• Certification may substitute for the educational requirement.
• Enhanced by active licensure or certification in Kansas (CNA, CMA, RMA, EMT).

Responsabilités

• Assist with delegated patient care under RN supervision.
• Monitor patient condition changes and report to RN.
• Document care provided and observations.
• Promote infection prevention and standard precautions.
• Provide ADL assistance and accurate vital signs.
• Deliver care with patient-centered approach and ethics.
