Stormont Vail Health in Topeka, KS, is seeking a part-time Patient Care Technician to support the care delivery team. You will work under RN/LPN supervision to perform delegated patient care, assist with examinations, and help maintain safe, clinic-wide workflows.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, attention to safety, and accurate documentation in electronic records. Remote work is not required.

Qualifications

Must have completed first semester in an accredited nursing program.
Or completed a medical assistant or patient care technician program.
Certification substitutions allowed for education requirement (CMA/MA/RMA/CNA/EMT/PCT).

Responsabilités

Admit patients to exam rooms for office visits and procedures, following prescribed workflows.
Assist providers with examinations and procedures.
Retrieve voice mail messages, record, and route to licensed staff.
Document medical information using electronic applications and/or forms.
Coordinate patient services to include labs, point-of-care testing, x-rays, diagnostics, referrals, home care, and acute care admissions.
Schedule patient appointments.
Assist with referrals, prior-authorizations, and benefit investigations.
Maintain cleanliness of equipment, examination, and treatment rooms; restock.
