Great River Health Systems in West Burlington, IA is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide basic patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse. You will care for adult, geriatric, telemetry, cardiac, neonate and other patient populations, delivering high quality care across units.

The role requires compassion, adherence to safety policies, and accurate documentation. Scheduled hours are 6:30am to 7:00pm, with every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter - Iowa DHS within 180 Days Required
• Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter within 180 Days Required
• Certified Nursing Assistant within 120 Days Required
• Emergency First Response and Choking within 90 days of hire
• MOAB within 12 months of hire
• Restraint training completed after hire
• Acute care: Med Surg and Telemetry: As above

Responsibilities

• Answer patients' call lights promptly and fulfill requests.
• Perform skin assessment and report abnormalities to the licensed nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living.
• Maintain clean patient rooms and change linens as needed.
• Collect and label specimens (urine, feces, sputum).
• Transport patients using wheelchair or stretcher.
• Monitor and document patient conditions and vital signs.
• Greet visitors and direct to appropriate staff.
• Assist admissions, discharges and transfers with staff cooperation.
