Job summary

Great River Health Systems in Iowa is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide basic patient care under licensed nurse supervision across adult, medical/surgical, telemetry and other units. The role involves bed side reporting, safety checks, ADL assistance, and collaboration with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality care.

The position requires completion of a CNA course (or in progress), computer proficiency, and a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Completion of C.N.A. course (or complete within four months of hire date) Required
• Completion of C.N.A course if currently in high school Required
• Computer experience Required
• Health care experience within the last five years Preferred

Responsibilities

• Answer patients' call lights in a timely manner and address requests
• Perform skin assessment and report abnormal results to licensed nurse
• Maintain clean patient rooms and changes linens as appropriate
• Collect and correctly label specimens and deliver messages
• Observe patients' condition and report changes to staff
