Job summary

Great River Health in Iowa is seeking a CNA to provide basic patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse. You will support adult, medical/surgical, geriatric, telemetry, cardiac, neonatal and pediatric patients across units.

Duties include responding to call lights, assisting with ADLs, maintaining clean rooms, collecting specimens, transporting patients, and using safety devices and equipment while documenting care in the medical record.

Qualifications

• Completion of C.N.A. course (or complete within four months of hire date) Required
• Completion of C.N.A course if currently in high school Required
• Computer experience Required
• Health care experience within the last five years Preferred

Responsibilities

• Answer patients' call lights promptly
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Maintain clean patient rooms and change linens as appropriate
• Collect and correctly label specimens (urine, feces, sputum)
• Transport patients to treatment units
• Greet visitors and direct them to staff
• Operate basic office equipment and telemetry systems
