Job summary

Great River Health Systems is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide basic patient care under licensed nurses. The role covers Adults, Geriatric, Telemetry, Cardiac, Neonate and more, in a 2:30pm–11:00pm shift with every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Responsibilities include bedside reports, fall prevention, ADLs, specimen collection, patient transport, and safe monitoring. CNAs must complete or be close to CNA certification with computer skills and healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of C.N.A. course (or complete within four months of hire date) Required
• Completion of C.N.A. course if currently in high school Required
• Computer experience Required
• Health care experience within the last five years Preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform bedside shift report and end of shift procedures.
• Keep patients safe from falls by following policies and procedures.
• Assist in wound prevention and hospital-acquired pressure injury prevention.
• Care for restrained patients and monitor safety under supervision.
• Use equipment and supplies cost-consciously and manage resources.
• Follow safety practices for infection control and protective equipment.
• Demonstrate basic math for intake/output calculations and charting.
• Set up equipment such as oxygen and portable x-ray machines.
