Job summary

Great River Health in Fort Madison, IA seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to deliver basic patient care under licensed nurse supervision across Adult, Medical/Surgical, Geriatric and Telemetry units.

Responsibilities include bedside shift handoffs, ADLs, skin assessments, vitals and specimen handling, with on-site work and every third weekend rotation. CNA training or coursework expected, computer skills required.

Qualifications

• Completion of C.N.A. course (or within four months of hire) required.
• Currently in high school? CNA course required.
• Computer experience required.
• Health care experience within the last five years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patients' call lights promptly.
• Perform skin assessment and report results to licensed nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Maintain clean patient rooms and change linens as appropriate.
• Collect and correctly label specimens (urine, feces, sputum).
• Observe patients' conditions, record vital signs, and report changes.
