WVU Medicine seeks a staff member to provide nonprofessional direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will assist with daily tasks, monitor vitals, and help maintain a safe and clean environment to support licensed medical staff.

Requirements include a high school diploma and BLS certification within 30 days. Prior patient care experience is preferred. The role is scheduled for a 40-hour workweek, non-exempt, located at United States facilities.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire date.
• Prior patient care experience is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Observe and report patient concerns to a registered nurse immediately.
• Assist RN with admission, transfer, discharge and routine care.
• Record vital signs and assist with hygiene and comfort measures.
• Assist in specimen collection and other patient care activities as assigned.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment to prevent infections.
• Report equipment issues to the appropriate personnel promptly.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures per procedures.
• Communicate nutrition issues to the RN and clarify diet changes.
• Assist with department administrative tasks and answer call bells.
