Job summary

Under RN supervision, you will assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, daily living activities, vital signs, and routine procedures, while maintaining a safe and clean environment.

The role requires a High School diploma, BLS within 30 days, and certification options listed; schedule is FT, 36 hours per week, non-exempt.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Must meet one of the listed certifications: PCT, CNA, or national PCT certification.

Responsibilities

• Observes and reports patient concerns to a registered nurse.
• Assists the RN with admission, transfer, discharge, and general patient care duties.
• Records vital signs and assists with personal hygiene and other comfort measures.
• Assists in specimen collection and other patient-related tasks.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment to prevent infections and ensure safety.
• Reports equipment repairs to appropriate personnel.
• Prepares patients for examinations and procedures.
• Communicates nutrition issues to RN and adjusts care as needed.
• Assists department with administrative tasks and answers call bells.
