Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of a medical assistant program accredited by CAAHP or ABHES.
• Must obtain CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA/NPCE MA within 1 year of hire.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (Windows, MS Office).
• Ability to work in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
• Strong communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through preparation, vital signs, and documentation.
• Administer medications, treatments, and immunizations under provider supervision.
• Prepare patient charts and ensure documentation completion.
• Schedule procedures, labs, x-rays, and surgeries; provide pre- and post-surgery information.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to standards.
• Educate patients and families based on discharge plans.
• Proactively represents patient advocacy with professional etiquette.
• Cross-coverage in other clinic areas as needed.
• Escalate non-routine issues to the manager or providers.
