Job summary

MercyOne Des Moines is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support patient care in a fast-paced clinic. You will prepare patients, assist with procedures, document results, and ensure accurate charts under provider supervision.

Qualifications

• Must work well in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (CAAHP/ABHES).
• Must obtain MA certifications within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care including preparation, vital signs, and documentation.
• Administer medications and immunizations under provider direction.
• Prepare and organize patient charts and communicate test results and plan of care.
• Schedule procedures, labs, x-rays, and surgeries; assist with pre/post care.
