Job summary

Sentara Medical Group is seeking a full-time Patient Care Specialist to support medical offices across the Southside region, including Virginia Beach, Norfolk and Chesapeake. This float position requires travel to multiple sites to ensure patient needs and office workflows run smoothly.

Primary duties include answering phones, scheduling appointments, and assisting patients with questions while maintaining high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required.
• 1 year experience with Health Insurance Plans, Medical Records Data, Medical Terminology, Registration, Scheduling, or Third Party Payers required.
• 3 years Customer Service experience required.

Sentara Medical Group is now hiring a full-time Patient Care Specialist in the Southside area of Virginia!

This is a float position supporting medical offices throughout the Southside area, including Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake locations. Travel to other areas within Hampton Roads including Northeast North Carolina may be required based on staffing needs.

Hours

Monday - Friday, 7:00AM - 8:00PM. Staff will rotate shifts, and your assigned shift will fall within these hours.

Overview

As a Patient Care Specialist with Sentara Healthcare, you will provide non-clinical support within a physician's office and ensure an excellent patient experience by performing a variety of complex administrative tasks to support patient care delivery. Primary duties include answering phones, scheduling appointments, and answering patient questions.
