Overview:

Sentara Healthcare is currently hiring a Patient Care Specialist for Sentara Neurosurgery Specialists - Careplex in Hampton, VA!

Status: Full-Time, permanent position (40 hours)

Standard working hours: 8am to 5pm EST, M-F.

Location: Sentara Neurosurgery Specialists - Careplex, 4000 Coliseum Dr, Suite 200, Hampton, VA 23666.

As a Patient Care Specialist with Sentara Healthcare, you will provide non-clinical support within a physician's office, ensuring an excellent patient experience through a variety of administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and responding to patient inquiries. Teamwork is highly valued, with everyone working together to deliver the best care.

Job requirements:

• Three (3) years of clerical or customer service experience required.
• One year experience with health insurance plans, medical records data, medical terminology, registration, scheduling, or third-party payers required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• An associate's degree may be considered in lieu of the required experience.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems is preferred.
