Overview

Details:

• City/State: Carrollton, VA
• Work Shift: Swing Shift
• Schedule: Clinic hours - 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. (hours may vary based on business needs and candidate availability)

Role Description

As a Patient Care Specialist with Sentara Health, you will provide non-clinical support within a physician's office, ensuring an excellent patient experience by performing complex administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and responding to patient questions. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 3 years of clerical or customer service experience
• At least 1 year of experience with health insurance plans, medical records data, medical terminology, registration, scheduling, or third-party payers
• An associate's degree may substitute for experience
• Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems is preferred
