Charlton Family Medicine in Ballston Lake is hiring a full-time Patient Support Specialist. The role is 40 hours per week, Monday-Thursday 8:15am-5:00pm, Friday 8:30am-4:00pm. Ideal candidates have customer service skills, preferably in medical settings.

Qualifications

• Clerical experience in a medical practice is preferred.
• Strong computer skills are required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures is preferred.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, physicians and staff.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients on arrival.
• Process incoming calls/messages per office policy.
• Schedule patient appointments and follow-up visits.
• Obtain patient signatures for required waivers.
• Organize and monitor daily provider schedules and patient flow.
• Verify insurance/demographic information at visits and update as needed.
