Job summary

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, strong communication, typing, and medical terminology knowledge, and at least one year in a medical office setting.

Qualifications

• Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.
• Typing, general clerical skills and excellent telephone skills.
• Medical terminology and one year medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify and update patient information; obtain copies of insurance care.
• Collect payments and inform patients of payment responsibility; balance daily receipts.
• Schedule patients according to practitioner guidelines and appointment policies.
• Prepare charts and office procedures; maintain medical records.
• Assist cross-training and support other departments as needed.
• Maintain and operate office equipment (fax, copier, printer).
