Job summary

ProHealth Physicians, part of the Optum family, has an immediate opening for an Associate Patient Care Coordinator in Glastonbury, CT. This full-time position (40 hours/week) runs Monday through Friday, 9:30am to 6pm, with potential to float to local practices.

You will greet and check in patients, schedule appointments, answer calls, collect payments, and maintain demographics; you’ll use the EHR per policies and workflows and may cover other ProHealth locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High School / GED required.
• 1+ years receptionist or customer service experience.
• Intermediate level of computer proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Conduct check-in and check-out process.
• Answer incoming calls and use EHR to document patient inquiries.
• Conduct outreach to patients requiring appointments or service follow-up.
• Schedule appointments using standard scheduling protocols.
• Manage administrative in-basket pools and work queues.
• Scan documents into the EHR per standard protocols.
• Balance payments and prepare deposits.
• Protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal and financial information.
• Provide coverage at other ProHealth locations on an ad hoc basis.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
