Job summary

Holy Cross Health is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to support patient flow at physician office sites in Broward County. You will be the first point of contact, collecting demographics, verifying insurance, and gathering financial information in alignment with hospital policies.

The role may involve front desk duties or phone coverage, with hours Monday–Friday 8:00 am–5:00 pm, and benefits beginning day one. Prior experience in a medical office is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office setting and knowledge of CPT and ICD9 codes and health care insurance preferred.
• Good interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient demographics and insurance information prior to or at the first office visit.
• Verifies insurance coverage and authorizations as applicable.
• Documents changes in patient information in the IDX system.
• Interviews patients to verify demographic and financial information.
• Provides front desk coverage and phone support as needed.
