Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Fort Lauderdale seeks a Call Center Representative to support physician practices with efficient appointment scheduling and patient registration in a fast-paced environment.

You will handle high-volume inbound calls, verify benefits, use EMR systems, and collaborate with the care team to deliver excellent patient experiences. Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM EST with comprehensive benefits from Day 1.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required or higher education preferred.
• 1–2 years of call center experience in high-volume environment with KPIs.
• Medical office or healthcare call center experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience with medical appointment scheduling and patient access workflows.
• Proficiency in patient registration processes.
• Insurance verification of benefits (commercial, Medicare, Medicaid).
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.

Responsibilities

• Answer high-volume inbound calls with professionalism and empathy.
• Schedule medical appointments across multiple specialties using EMR.
• Perform comprehensive patient registration and insurance verification.
• Use medical terminology accurately in interactions with patients and clinical teams.
• Verify insurance benefits and document eligibility for billing and flow.
• Maintain call center KPIs: handling time, quality, accuracy, SLA.
• Provide excellent customer service for patient questions and requests.
• Collaborate with managers and supervisors to support scheduling needs.
• Utilize Microsoft 365 and other tools to manage tasks and docs.
