AEG Vision is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to manage front desk operations, patient flow, and scheduling. You will coordinate care across clinical and optical teams, greet patients, answer inquiries, verify insurance, and maintain accurate EMR records to support efficient visits.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, basic computer literacy, and a commitment to patient-centered service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong written and verbal communication for patient interactions.
• Excellent organizational ability to manage front desk and schedules.
• Comfort with basic computer tasks and EMR systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively across care teams.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and act as primary contact for patient interactions.
• Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and manage emails professionally.
• Schedule appointments and optimize provider calendars; handle cancellations and reschedules.
• Send confirmations and reminders to reduce no-shows.
• Verify insurance and patient demographics; enter data into EMR.
• Explain coverage, benefits, and patient financial responsibilities.
• Prepare patient charts and documentation before visits.
• Record charges, co-pays, and payments in EMR; assist with billing tasks.
• Monitor patient flow and adjust schedules to avoid bottlenecks.
• Communicate wait times and next steps to patients.
• Support coordination between clinical and optical teams.
• Assist in recalls and follow-ups for ongoing care.
• Maintain a clean, organized front office; assist as assigned.
