Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, customers, and vendors in a friendly, welcoming manner as they enter the practice.
• Answer and respond to telephone inquiries professionally and promptly.
• Schedule appointments and gather patient and insurance information.
• Verify and enter patient demographics into EMR accurately.
• Verify vision and medical insurance information and enter into EMR.
• Communicate insurance information clearly to patients and explain plans.
• Pull schedules to confirm insurance eligibility prior to appointments.
• Prepare insurance claims and run reports to ensure charges are billed correctly.
• Print and prepare forms for patient visits.
• Collect and document all charges, co-pays, and payments in EMR.
• Allocate balances to insurance as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by management.
